Once a tooth has developed a cavity it has to be filled or restored before it undergoes more damaged. You have to know that your teeth are very precious to your health and cavities or dental caries can pose a serious challenge to the integrity of your dentition. Cavity or dental caries are caused by acid produced by bacteria in your mouth which feed on sugary foodstuff you take frequently. Unlike some other diseases or injuries, a cavity will not heal by itself, but if the early dental decay is promptly treated the process of destruction can be stopped, thence without treatment the dental decay may continue to advance. Extreme decay can result into loss of the affected tooth or teeth, potentially preceded by great discomfort, infection and other health problems. At our clinic we take a great care in restoring your damaged tooth to its original shape and size for proper masticatory function and aesthetics appearance; we can achieve this by use of variety of dental materials available in dentistry today such as glass ionomer,  gold, composite, Zirconia, E.max, ceramic or porcelain. Most of the small and medium restorations are placed directly inside a tooth whereas large cavity require indirect restorations to be fabricated outside the mouth such as inlays, on-lays, crowns and veneers by CAD/CAM or conventional methods.
